oem.......may I also suggest running 2 thousandths on the crank clearance. It's on the high end of the specified range but I found it works best, runs really good at high rpm.

im noticing.

ill call my guy at honda tomorrow to get me prices.

anything cross reference?....im not sure if the crank is different in that way.....b16a vs b18c1.
Negative same specs for vtec cranks. Specified honda range is from .0005 to .0020 on the maiin clearance. I won't ever run anything less than .0017, to many builders agree that's too tight for the rpms we run. .0020 is the max but i've been reccommended mulitple times to run them there. If you start them there, they last alot longer and will not wear like some people think.

ACL is also good but they only come in standard and oversized sizes, if you can work with them ok, imo better for a new crank, I woulnd't use them unless your getting your block line honed. I know your not building it but I also wipe everything down with 3M before installation and i've also started to wipe everything down after that with Marvel Mystery Oil, it seems to be a trick with some of the older honda guys. It does seem to provide a smoother startup then just oil.

Yea oem should be about the same if not a little cheaper. Usually 15 dollars a bearing x5 = 75 plus the thrust washers. around 100. I picked up the ACL race bearings. I like them better than the regular bearings cause they don't have the flash coating on them like the normal bearings, but that's why I always wipe them down with 3M/Scotchgard.

I like them. It has taken a 500??hp beating on stock internals. Nothing but coated bearings and arp bolts

Yea but, really your crank and rods aren't touching the bearings when they're moving so......well you know. I guess it's a personal preference. I could see the point for race cars I guess. But your talking about extended periods of high rpm use, not the 5 minute run down the mountain most people do.
