How you like those Hawks? I was thinking AXXIS Metal Masters... or EBC....dc2GS-R said:My inspection has to be done tomorrow on the GST so I'm gonna do some work on it as soon as I get done with it. I'm gonna throw on a 3" catless turbo back exhaust, Hawk brake pads, stainless steel brake lines and turbo oil feed line, and a 1g BOV since my stock POS is leaking
.........now all I need is to go get some beer for the project
Hum... yea, I need a Little life out of my pads due to costs. So sounds like EBC or AXXIS. I used AXXIS on the teg and LOVED them. But ive always heard good things about EBC, so maybe i'll try them.dc2GS-R said:I've tried EBC greens and was going to get them since the GST is daily driven and they last longer than the Hawks but I wanted to order everything from one place and they RRE didn't have the oil line in stock and Forced Performance didn't have the EBC's in stock. I have tried both the EBC green and Hawk's. The Hawks do perform better but they wear faster and make more dust. Then there is also the Rotora Ceramic Competition front and Porterfield R4-E Pads which the GSX wears to the track........they are a whole different story. They will eat some rotors if you aren't careful. But they could also probably lock all 4 235mm R comp tires at 130mph LOL
When pads can take more heat than the calipers then I think you've accomplished something. lolRRE said:We have run R4-Es on rotors glowing so bright that you could see them glowing in the day light. The car still stopped... right up until the seals melted out of the caliper. The R4-Es still held together.

Something like the HRE 895R, 898R or maybe a 845R. They are SOOOO damn ridiculously expensive though
Im not doubting the pad. LOL, im just saying your car makes it a bit easyer than throwing them on the OEM setup. Your reading too far into the comment.dc2GS-R said:But they are 235mm Advan A048 tires. They are serious pads. Look at RRE's opinion on the Porterfields:
