Kurt question! How did you keep your cylinders from rusting while you had the head off. I want to take my head off to begin the disassemble process but im afraid the cylinders will begin to rust. I read that ATF or WD40 is good. Is this true?

In my garage with a dehumidifier, You are correct though, Wd40 is how I keep fat pipes on 2 stroke dirtbikes from rusting, I'd get a cheap box fan or something to keep air flowing through the bay at all times and probably stuff wd40 soaked paper towels in the cylinder to be safe, Just be cautious and don't let them tear, Wouldn't want that getting caught in the rings.

Thats what I originally searched "if i could use oil" and ended up getting mixed readings (mostly people using ATF or WD40) but if i can use motor oil im happy with that. I just needed a creditable answer

Damn, where'd you get an Optima for $40 at? I paid $106 for an Interstate from Firestone when my original battery crapped out on me.
