I'm now a C & M1 license holder.

R13 or NemesisCBR, any recommendations for a good starter street bike coming from my dual sports? I need something highway friendly. I'm thinking a Ninja 500 or Ninja 650..

The other asshole
The ninja 650 will get awesome mpg and the cbr if geared right will go 105 in 1st gear so you choose, btw cbr still gets great mpg the ninja is just better being a 2cylinder.

Also the ninja is more of a road bike meaning it's more of an upright riding position and the stock suspension isn't very good if you wanna track it.

I don't plan on tracking bikes, not until I can fit into a 1 piece suit or something, but even those are a grand alone.. Might as well practice some more before I learn more advanced techniques.

Actually I was just thinking about it, and I think a normal cruiser would be good. Something more than a Honda Rebel, but not a lot like a Yamaha V star I think it's called? I don't like the ones with a foot rest, way too big.

I don't like football anymore, my interest is gone...
Don't worry, now we can all focus on the good sport now... Hockey

Full suits aren't about trackdays, they're safety. You can get a two piece suit if you want a jacket for most days and suit up for other days.

We can't tell you if you're ready or not but I think you should have enough experience by now to ride a 600 responsibly. You're more the type to graduate from one bike to the next so with that in mind the newer 600 is more powerful than older ones. Responsibility is key here, and ability to learn.

Yes, if I had a suit, I'd be going out every weekend in it, but I don't. I do have a pair of Alpine* pants that can zip into a jacket, still trying to find one that'll work with it and fit me too.

But right now I want a bike that's a bit more friendly in the 40-80 mph range. I'm not sure exactly what would suit me. I can't even line up sport/cruiser/crossover since I haven't found what my needs are yet.
