As of now, I'm basically stock, but I plan going in deeper into modding my engine and will probably need a tune. So I'm just doing research and stuff that I will need.

Yes it's a basemap. This allows you to drive the car to an extent. All you have to do is buy the Hondata and plug it into the socket when you go get it tuned

I don't remember who it was that was asking about where to get these..but if anyone does remember, or wants them, I found these on Craigslist this morning.

If you dont need a basemap ecu then dont bother buying a phearable ecu. Buy a ob1 ecu that you can have chipped (or might even come with one) for less and then buy your hondata chip or whatever youre going to use with it. Then take it to the tuner when it needs to be done. If you get a hondata it needs to be soldered in. You only need a basemap if you need to drive on something for a while. Dont spend more if you dont need to.
