so the other day i was driving and hit my rev limiter on accident and my car stalled out and shut off. it would not start again so i pulled over and it started once i came to a complete stop. now since then when i get on it hard it kinda hesitates at high speeds at high rpms. anyone have an idea what is wrong ???

Jumping your timing is bad, Thats what causes the valves to be out of sync and kiss the pistons = bent valves. You need to get your timing checked, and a leakdown test performed to see if their is air leaking through the valves

You can check it yourself. You just need to take off the VC and turn the motor over (using the crank pulley bolt, after removing the driver side wheel). Take the number 1 spark plug out, put a long screw driver into the hole, and turn the bolt until the arrows on the pulleys point in/the screw driver reaches the top of its travel.

If the arrows dont line up evenly, your timing is off.

You can probably get a leakdown test for about $40, but I would make sure the timing isnt off yourself before taking it in.

You shouldn't drive it, but you can. If the timing is off then no matter what RPM's you are at the intake and exhaust cams are not in sync with the revolution of the pistons.

If it's off one tooth then there is little chance the pistons are going to touch the valves, but I certainly wouldn't drive it long before checking it out.
