I refuse to give money to people. If they say they need food I'll offer to buy them a $5 sub from subway. Most of them are very thankful, but some go "oh we'll...um... I just ate" obviously looking for drug money.

I obviously don't do this all the time. Only when I'm in a good, helpful mood.

I'm usually the same. I prefer to buy people drinks/food over giving them money. I'm always a sucker for old people and women with children, though. I'm an enabler...

It doesn't happen that often I only go downtown to get food with friends. But when it happens I feel really good.
