i herd of someone building a frankenstein engine?? he said it was an accord 2.3 and a prelude engine hybrid.
how would that do in a da9?:p

There was a thread about that a while ago. Too unreliable to be practical. It was called like a G23 or some shit.

All kinds of random shit had to be done. I think S2000 pistons? Yeah, all kinds of weird parts.

I'm not reccommending it. It's more of a "I have half of two random engines laying around" build. Either go h2b or get yourself a nice b18c.

That guy who built the G23 has had it for over 4 years and says its running strong... how is that un reliable? Its just a stroked H23...

try to find the honda tuning article of the G23 vs K20 budget build off, they show how to build the motor, and show the cost of puttiing a k20 in a car and the cost of building a G23 and building it is a fraction

Your talking about a built motor vs some thrown together frankenstein motor. Do whatever you want, I just know from my personal expierence that they are a shit motor

BTW how do you get that its a stroked h23?

F22=Bore × Stroke: 85.0 × 95.0 mm
H23= Bore (mm): 87 x Stroke (mm) 95

I am confused here....they use the same damn crank, its not a stroked h23, its a broke dick attempt of a h23/vtec that was done by someone who had the parts laying around and was bored. That doesn't mean it should be repeated. Its like the kid that put a dohc zc head on a sohc d16a6 block, sure with enough machining and money it worked, but whats the point?

accord: 13310-P0A-000
prelude si: 13310-P0A-000

Can it be done, sure! Can it be done reliably...maybe. Can it be built cheap and reliably...prob not lol.

If people are wanting a DOHC F series just got a F20B and call it a day.

i got the article my bad, it was import tuner that covered the story, looks interesting, something i would like to do for fun in the future

http://importtuner.automotive.com/99179/impp-0902-k24-vtec-vs-g23-vtec-tech-knowledge/index.html

the big deal with this motor is the HP it makes and the low cost
