'97 LS vs. '01 Celica GT-S

I've always heard stories about how those car's really aren't nearly as fast as claimed. jav8or, an RSX-S will own a Celica GTS anyday

i love coming to other sites and educating ppl,

actually the celica gt-s (besides the ones with the lower rev limiter) are faster than claimed
stories of ls integras, civic si's and such beating celica gt-s' are more than likely racing auto gt-s, gt-s' with lower rev limits or mis badged celicas.
celicas have hit - granted in very optimal conditions- high 14's ie. 14.9-14.8 in the quarter mile

as for the rsx-s vs. gt-s
if you were to venture to either pro celica or pro rsx websites, most educated ppl on the subject would concur that a drivers race exist between the two (excluding the newer 05 rsx-s)

reasons you ask, here ya go

Celica GT-S 155-160whp @2500lbs
RSX-S = 170ish whp @2760lbs
we can conclude that these cars have similar power to wieght ratios, and complete ownage will not happen given equal drivers

now, i know that some ppl here hate to admit that the cars are equal, but its true (in terms of acceleration)
i hope i didnt make anyone mad or hurt some feelings

this is the part were "i was in the car and my friend completely waxed a f@cking modded celica", "celica's are chick cars", "but my car has vtec/i-vtec", and finally"..........at least my cars a honda comments are gonna be made.

I dont think I can ban him for trying to back up his Celica. This thread however, is starting to become an annoyance. You arent really educating anybody. We all from the beginning assumed the car had some power, and would be good competition. You can look at my first post.
