90 Integra I'm stumped. Any thoughts?

I have a 90 integra rs B18A1 5 speed. It has a CAI, new distributor and distributor internals. Timing is right where it should be. Plugs look good and are gapped correctly. Good spark. New fuel filter. The problem is, below about 2800 rpms, it has very little power. Above 2800 it gets alot better but now how it used to be. But only after its warmed up. I am a mechanic but I havent worked on many imports. It started suddenly, i stopped at a stop sign, took off just fine. stopped a block later and it was acting up. It has a smooth idle. Fuel mileage has went down some too. Im at a loss for what to do next. It doesnt have a MAF sensor to my knowledge. So how does it regulate fuel air mixture?

it has map sensor o2 sensor throttle body position sensor evap i think but not sure.

does it losses power? or just sputters when you take off?

Catalytic converter or check your fuel filter and injectors.
Try using Lucas Injector cleaner.

My friend had his gas tank begin to rust and had those exact symptoms. The rust was clogging the fuel filter and injectors.... it was a bbbb to figure it out

When its at operating temp., it sputters below about 2800 rpm.

It sounds like it could be your catalytic converter getting clogged up. Might be time for a new one..

I changed the fuel filter 2 days ago, and it made no difference. I thought about pulling the fuel pump out to inspect the tank once i get it down to less then 1/4 tank. I ran a bottle of lucas in it about a week before it started having problems.

Have you checked the pump itself? Check the fuel pressure.

Those would have been my best guesses.
Cat or fuel delivery.

Since you already changed the dizzy, spark plugs, wires, etc...

Any codes? My car did that because of the coolant temp sensor. It threw a code though

well, my car had the same symptoms. it sat for about a year, and the gad tank began to rust. it took a lot of people a long time to figure out what was causing the problems. have you got into the fuel rail and cleaned the injectors manually? its worth a shot if you haven't

I have not checked the pump itself. I dont have a pressure test kit. I had to sell alot of my tools a few months ago to pay bills. I was sad. I also have not gotten into the fuel rail or injectors. While i am a mechanic, i work primarily on american made and diesels. Im not sure how i clean an injector manually. Im going to pull out an o2 sensor tomorrow after work to see if it makes a difference. If so, new cat. if not, move forward. And no codes either, well no CEL anyways.

I have heard of people having issues like this after they have used injector cleaner. The cleaner goes through and knocks some crap free, then clogs up other parts of the system. Maybe run some more through it? Lol.

That means it works well. Ive noticed reading through alot of threads, for some integras it said DA and various forms of that. What does it signify?
