$60 to little for a header on ebay?

Want to get a 4-2-1 header so I was looking on ebay and saw some for around $60 to $120 and some $300. There's a stainless steel 4-2-1 header for $58 new but that sounds too cheap. Any 1 buy a header for that cheap on ebay? I've never bought anything from ebay. Want to make sure I don't get something cheap or ripped off.

They will more then likely not line up, 02 sensor slot will be wrong, and overall be cheap.

My homeboy got one.....Be prepared to heat it up and beat the shit out of it so it will clear the oil pan..... Youd be better off throwing your money in the garbage.

Dont get me wrong, I hear there are SOME good replica headers that arent too expensive... But they sure aint gonna be the $60-120 ones.

I am running that 58 dollar ebay header right now. I am serious, check out my build thread lol. I do not recommend getting it. It is a huge piece of crap. And yes, you have to weld in a new o2 bung because it doesn't line up right. Everything else fit fine with mine though I didn't have to heat it up and beat it like this guy above me is saying, but it is really restrictive and poorly made. Also, why not go 4-1 or something? That 4-2-1 one isn't legal any way, might as well go all out with a toda replica or something. Hell even a megan 4-1 itr replica would be better than the ebay 4-2-1 headers.

Save your 60 dollars, that ebay header is no better than stock, in fact it is probably worse. Bottom line is if you want a decent header, you are going to spend around $300 minimum. Unless it is used and you find a deal.

i do not know much when it comes to these types of mods but a lot of the companies on ebay create horrible parts for engines. Take Nick's word for it, i have seen his car and smelt it.

have you taken a look Yonaka 4-1 ITR Header? that was the one i have been looking at and is at a decent price

Well the smelling it part has nothing to do with the header. That has to do with getting screwed by a machine shop, but ya. lol

The yonaka one has horrible ground clearance if I recall. It is also not all that great of a header performance wise. However, it is probably 10x better than the ebay header I am using.

is there a thread for ebay parts? i think we should make one so we can compare what people have bought on ebay, whether it is a part that is worth getting or something to totally stay away from so we can share the knowledge and save some members money. I know team integra has a thread like that..

That's actually a pretty good idea!

You get what you pay for and the ebay/copycat headers are hit or miss, more often miss than hit. Header is a fairly significant part of the performance equation. If any of these are going on a stock cat you are not making much power and if the collector size is oem. That said all you need to be sure of is that you buy something in your budget that bolts up properly and has good fitment with sensors in the right place. Dont expect to gain much if at all without improving flow.

any 1 heared about hedman headers some guy is selling one loca unusedl. Is that a good brand? Also I don't think I'm gonna buy a highflow cat unless I found a great deal, so would it be pointless if I got a header with stock cat?

Pointless in my opinion yes. You may want more opinions to get an answer you like. Havent heard of that one.

Yes, it would be pointless. And yes I have heard of hedman. I believe jegs.com sells that brand. It isn't going to net you any more power than stock though. Its basically an OEM replacement, except it isn't cast. It will be better quality than the ebay header though, thats for sure. Still not worth getting in my opinion.
