5w30 or 10w30?

The w stands for winter not weight just fyi
Correct. :)

The numbers refer to the viscosity of the oil. The number preceded by W is the viscosity during the winter … the lower the number the easier it "runs" or "pours". A lower viscosity means easier cranking when starting in winter, and it also flows more easily to coat critical components more quickly.

5w30 >10w30 in the winter.

I run 5w30 all year though as that's what is recommended.

Indeed same here. Bearings used in engine are usally the first to be damaged by usin incorrect viscosity it may run but for how long and if ur goin for the most torque and hp its even more worse to use a heavier oil. Royal purple 5w30 has better ep additives then a regular oil of the same viscosity. More power more pressure more money per quart of oil.

I run Royal Purple in both my RS and DC5 Type-S. I even run RP syncromax in my trans. Only oil I'll ever use.

Can't begin to tell you the amount of Royal Purple haters I run into on occasion though. :what:

They must not want to be able to take oil changes out to 10,000 miles with no problems shit for that price its worth it. Reg oils the highest the manufacters recomend is 7500 mile interval and thats pushin it with the way most of us drive are rides. When I get my ITR engine I intend to do just that and run royal purples products tyhru out it. They dont call it the life blood for nothing lol

I still change my oil every 5k miles in both cars. I know you can go way past that with RP, but I don't.
