3rd Gen door lock issue

I have a problem that probably has an easy fix but before I tear into my door to try to figure it out I figured I'd see if anyone else has already fixxed this issue. On my 95 RS 4D the driver's door wont lock with the power lock or by manually flipping the lock from the inside. It will only lock if I use the key from the outside. Does anyone have a fix for this? I assume I just need to bend/adjust one of the rods/linkages in the door to fix it, but I haven't looked yet. Also I plan on putting in a keyless entry system so I need to get this fixed first so that the power locks work properly. Thanks in advance to anyone with any help.

is the door open when your trying this?I think the same thing happen to me, if the door is open the door woudlnt lock manually nor with the switch.. its a safety thing on integras.. just a thought, goodluck man!

door lock issue

I have a 1994 Integra LS and have the same symptom, also think it is a safety problem which prevents you from locking yourself out.

opened or closed does the same thing.
I find it hard to believe the only way to lock the drivers door is to use the key from the outside.
I'm pretty sure this is not an intentional feature of the car. You should be able to lock the door with the power lock or manually with the switch.

i had the same problem. i opened up the door panel and i sprayed quite a bit of wd-40 on all of the parts that had to do with the locks. after a while of using the key, it started to work by hand then power locks worked, it took a while for the wd40 to soak in but it works fine now. worked for me, might not for you though, but its worth a try

It is your lock actuator or could be as you stated the rod is bent slightly so it's not lifting/moving its full path.

Yea check your rods/actuator. That happened with mine and they had just come loose.
