You do know that they aren't dot approved right? Also unless you have them mounted properly at the correct angle they will do more damage then they will good if you get in a wreck.

Shit didn't think of dot lol. Fuck them. Anyone know of any cheap harnesses that are dot approved. I know you get what you pay for but I can't pay for much.

Umm cheap dot approved harnesses don't exist. I have only found 1 brand that is dot approved and they were like 400 bucks per harness. I'll try digging the link up for ya. just goto junkyard and pull stock seat belts and put them back in your car.

Ok I've checked the junk yards and the only one that says they have one is big for scamming. They also said they had a 32 Chevy viper lol. Do yall know of any other cars that I could use the belts out of.

And don't hook them to your rear seat belts lol. My ex girlfriends Integra had the harness hooked into the rear seat belts bolts. Like the guy from nerk said, it does more harm then good if it's mounted at the wrong angle.

A harness bar could be bolted/welded up behind the seats. If you want harness, don't plan on sitting passengers back there comfortably.

and they are made to be used with racing seats, which keep you still in a wreck.

a normal DOT seat is meant to let you bend in certain areas to absorb the impact and let the airbag do its job.

its not good at all to mix race and street seats or belts

Negative, go research, Scroth are the only DOT approved Harness. It is odd considering Takata makes stock Honda belts (atleast they made the CRX belts), so you'd think their harness's would be DOT approved, but they arent. I ran into this very issue when I had my old CRX and some 5 points in it, I thought they were DOT approved only to be schooled by an SCCA mastermind lol.

Takata 4 Point Harnesses come with snap in hardware. Crotch belts do not include eye bolts or plates. Safety Harnesses installed incorrectly can be unsafe and even fatal. Please consult with a professional when installing safety equipment. Takata harness belts are not DOT approved.
