Physically, the dimensions of the RB aren't hardly any smaller. The 1JZ, 2JZ, RB25 and RB26 all have the same 86mm bore size and very similar block design with just slightly different strokes

Yea but aren't the rb's all aluminum and the jz's have an iron block with aluminum heads?

Yup, their practically copies. But the Skyline engine just looks smaller due to a more open engine bay. Didnt know about the strokes, maybe thats the difference that makes people say the RB is better :???:

RB26 - 2.6 L (2568 cc, bore: 86.0 mm, stroke: 73.7 mm). The Z-Tune had a 2.8L.

The RB26 all stock will make 320hp on the dyno copmpaired to the stock rated 280hp. Another common thing to do is take the RB30E block (3.0L) and put the Skyline head on it.

2JZ = 3.0L Inline 6 (86.0mm bore x 86.0mm stroke.

really on paper the 2jz is better, but I just like the RB more. Mostly because in the US it hasnt been used much.

Yea. Its a Aussie thing. You should know....oh wait...your in Panama city. So why do you call yourself AUSSIE again??

This remind me of why I like the RB's more, They can make the same power the 2JZ can with less displacement! WOOHOO, thats always a win. Both the OEM 2JZ and the RB26 made about 320hp from the factory.
