yeah i understand just dont knock everything he wants to do... just help him out yanno? :)
I'm not trying to knock him, just slow his role until he learns about cars, performance, gets some driving experience under his belt before he puts too much power into that car that he can't handle.........

Just be safe and smart about it. Check with us before you actually buy something. Another word of advice, don't believe everything the guy at your local shop says about a product or car........

I'm down to be a role model for this kid when it comes to the car scene, you know like kinda take him under my wing, well OUR wing to be exact. I just don't wanna see him get hurt, especially on his first car, you know what I mean?
man you guys are really cool, i cant drive yet :( when i do im gettin my gsr, parents want me to get an 00 si but i don tkno still deciding, anyways im goin to race, but ima play it safe and race at the tracks, legally, as for your dark blue teg, i think you should not get a body kit, its too ricer haha just get a lip kit, get it lowered, just go clean show, until you can swap... just my opinion..

If I were you Helix, get the GSR. For one even though its an Si, its still a Civic. I had a Civic before and all they are really good for is for show, unless you're rich. I was optioning for an Si before I got my GSR. I then found my GSR, test drove and fell in love. I do not regret getting the GSR over the Si to this day. Plus, i've beaten Si's and B16 powered Del Sols with my GSR. And if you like getting the girls, they swoon more over Integras than they do Civics, that's just my experience..........

results

the body kit idea is long gone as for that car i went to go look at with my friend well here are the results

IT SUCKS
its a 1998 volkswagon jetta glx vr6
the a/c is broke
the tint job has alot of places were the tent is coming off
the car was hit and had to replace back right side
miles are at 120 and its a 98 :kickass:
and to make everything worse the car has been through two teenage drivers (cant say much cause im 15 but that says alot about how that car was used)
and the abs doesnt work

so after i told him how badly this car sucks he says " my dad might buy it for me its a really good car"

so what do u guys think

DO NOT BUY IT!!!!!!!! You say you don't know how teenage drivers are, well I do, somewhat, I AM ONE! The car has been driven harder than a $2 hoe. That car is not worth it. Your friend will spend so much more money repairing it than modding it. And another thing, tell your friend not to believe what the person who is selling it says. THEY ARE LYING and just trying to make the sale.

well i wanted a VW also, but their quaility sucks ass... you are better off with an import!! :).. and downshift what do you think of the base 01 prelude? im sonsidering all options i guess the civic is played out.. what are some bad thins bout the lude

Prelude are cool cars if you're gonna go show and go. Since the Prelude is a bigger car, its heavier. Yeah is does have a 2.2L VTEC motor that pushes 200HP, but look at the Teggy. Its smaller, liighter, and pushes more HP per liter (Type R). I'm not downing the motor, cuz the motor is good, its just the size of the car that it sits in. I use to work at a car dealership and I had a chance to drive one, the rev limiter hits so much lower than a Teggy or Si cuz of the rod length. IMO, a prelude is a car you would buy for the wife/gf to have.

hahah well i wish i can get the type r i wish i wish i wish, but cant find a good one i found one for 16g but my parents wont let me get it it has hondata! dammit! haha so i guess my choice would have to be a lude i would be ok with taht but then no cool forums with cool people :( and i heard gsr is a family car

Noway in hell is the GSR a family car. A sedan (4 doors) is a family car, a coupe (2 doors) is not. Whoever told you that the GSR is a family car, smack em upside the head like this :slap:

hahahah i think i read it on a website some review thingy... well the only one i can get is this silver one..55g miles on it... or i can get a blue or a green one... the silver is good with red but silver isnt eye catching

Naw dude don't down silver. You build the silver one right and give her the right exterior mods........the silver bullet. I say get the 2 door silver GSR. Throw a JDM front and some silver rims on it or even gun metal rims, that would be bad ass. Thats just my suggestion. Just remember that your possibilities are endless.
