Hello guys. Im wanting to run a system in my 94 ls coupe. Gonna be running a 600-800 watt 4 channel Amp and a 1000-2000 2 channel for my subs. Both amps and speakers will be polk audio. The subs I am not sure yet. Now what can my stock alternator handle? Would i at least be able to handle the 4 channel and no subs? And how about that ebay 135 amp alternator? Have any of you used it? Im sure all of the grounds will have to be redone. and the battery to alternator wire will have to be sized up. All help will be appreciated. Thankyou all teggy lovers =) Here is the alt.

Real Good!
ebay alts are junk DONT BUY IT, say you do good luck having to return it for warranty reasons

your stock alt should be able to handle that 4 channel no problem
adding that sub amp would be pushing it with out a second battery

the cheapest route would be to:
do TheBig3 upgrade
add a second battery and run 0g front to back, positive and negative if u can
that should do it for ya, if not then buy the alt

i have a 300A on mine lol and alot more power but for what u have running u shouldnt have to spend too much to make it work fine

if your looking to do a alt then a 180A is perfect incase u do a bigger system in the future, BUT be ready to pay for that alt mine was.....TOO MUCH put it this way 6x's what what ebay one is

the better alternator companies would be DC Power, Ohio Generators, Mechman Alternators and good products and they stand behind what they sell

hope that helps, let me know if u have any more Q's

Running 1200w amp 4-channel for the highs, 400w 2 channel for the subs (2 12"), and a 7" double din on stock battery and alt. no problems. I don't like 2 12"s in a teg tho... too much I wanna go down to a good quality 10" or 8" less weight

Thanks beatbox! I figured the ebay one would be junk. For now ill just rock a 4 channel amp. Really all I need. I was actually gonna rerun my battery to the trunk. (some kinda gell battery). Find a good spot to mount the amp and boom :). And hey I can imagine what your running if you felt you had to put a 300 amp alt on your car :D

Very nice! Maybe one 12"?! I had an 1800 watt rockford with a square kicker l5 and holy sh*t was it loud. too much trunk rattle. All the kids around my school think trunk rattle is "boss" but i like the base feel in the car.

i have a car problem
in my prelude i had a premier deck running a kenwood 1800w monoblock and a kenwood 620w 4-chan pushing 2 Kicker L5 10's, my lights never dimmed or anything stock battery and alternator. you should be fine just make sure you at least 4ga wire
