I just thought of something. If they stole the whole car before insurance saw it you're entitled to the full price of your vehicle on the claim (assuming they don't find it). On top of that if it was trully at a repair shop when the car was stolen the repair shop is liable. If you kept your reciepts for your mods make sure they go with any other stuff insurance needs they should pay for it. Its always good to keep recent photos of your car also as proof of condition. Get yourself a lawyer and get paid.

So I am sorry it was stolen and stripped, that part sucks. But how did you roll it after just blowing a tire?!?! I am trying to figure out if you are really that bad of a driver or just that fucking unlucky. I have a suspicion you panicked and just suck at driving, but I will wait to make my determination.

He must have been running half a million psi in order to move the rear end from blowing a tire, lol.

Your car was stolen from the repair shop? That's why you don't take your car to a chop shop to be fixed. If it was at the shop the shop will be liable for it and you can get your cars worth out of it. I have somewhere around $5000-6000 dollars worth of receipts for my Teg, i'd make that shop buy me a shiny new Integra with a bunch of new parts. ;)

I don't know about an autobody shop, but the insurance for the logging company I work for is up to like $2,000,0000 in case we f*** up and crush a house or something. I imagine an auto shop has the same kind of thing for theft, fires, ect..

Why is it so hard to believe that a Blow Out would cause such a severe accident? It totally makes sense to me as it's not as uncommon as some of your are trying to make it out to be. Quit being so hard on the guy. If you dont have something nice or helpful to say, don't say anything at all. Sheesh... Any word from your Insurance or the Body Shop?

I'm sure the people mentioning it has had a blow-out and know that unless you were going over the speeed limit it wouldnt be an issue.
Word. Hell, even going over mildly. 80 on the freeway here...twice. Pretty non climatic. As bad as his situation is, there is always more to the story. Hope it all works out for him.

That's why I mentioned it.. I've had a tire blow out at 70mph and it wasn't dramatic.

So your saying all "Blow Outs" can be labeled the same? Every blowout is not the same. Im happy that it appears the majority of you did not have a serious accident from a blow out but it does happen and people do die.

No, not saying they are all the same, but i AM saying that if there is a wreck, it is GENERALLY due to excessive speed or driver error, or driving a vehicle with a higher center of gravity, such as an suv.

My F350 with 8" of lift had a 37" tire fall off on the freeway going 70mph.. not really difficult to apply the brakes and pull over. :thumbs up

...just sayin'
