So i took my car to get the inner tie rods replaced and to get an alignment. After all was said and done i noticed that the steering wheel plays more than it used to with bad tie rods,so i took it back. Now they tell me my rack and pinon is bad and the reason it didn't have any play was because of the bad inner tie rods, and it's shifted to interior problems.I would think that with bad tie rods it would play more before and less now but this is not the case.Sorry for the long story just need advice and to see if this sounds wierd to anybody else.

Guess i should make "play" a little clearer on a bumpy road the wheel likes to move alot now and it didn't before.I'm hopeing they just ghettoed the alignment that way i can say f*** it,move on, and it won't be that expensive.

go to a u-pick-it...when my rack failed i picked up one from a u-pick-it and it cost me $34.50. It has worked with no major problems for about 7 months now.
