Thoughts on 1995+ del sol's?

Always thought del sols were nice, but i know they are known as Del-Slows (before 1995 when they got b16's), anyways after watching this incredible vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Orje0u-lDc

im interested in building a super fast boosted del sol as a project in a year or so when i have much funds. They look like a cool ass machbox car lol.

I want a zx6r bike (getting by april next year), a nice integra as a daily (always working on that), and a nice boosted car like a del sol that id work on in shops or civic hatch. When im 40 ill get my automatic car for the fam hahahaha.

This should prolly have gone in the lounge. Del sols are ok. They're light and semi quick, but the back half looks kinda gross. Looks like two different cars smooshed together.

Your facts are wrong here,the vtec model was offered before 1995 ,and after, not all of them were vtec. My buddy has a 98 vtec and its nice,small as shit space wise but quick for what it is.

Del sols are NOT light. They're VERY heavy for their size.


If you like moldy interior, and getting wet every time it rains, a Delsol is for you.

Hate Del so your better off getting a MR2. All you see is a big trunk once you look in your rear view mirror.

He said before they had B16s. Nothing about vtec. They offered the d15 and d16(vtec) until 1995 when very few come origional with the b16

Getting your left shoulder dripped on every time it rains is suck... and passenger side dripped too... miserable

I've only seen 1 OEM B16 Sol once in my life. So they are rare, good luck with that. The roof leaks so you'll constantly get wet. Personally I'd buy a different car, however not alot of people make them look nice, so be different. All depends on the condition and price.

They leaked when they were new. Also are you sure its a B16 and not a D16? It just says 1.6 I4 engine. Nothing about being B16. Also it has VTECH, so clearly he knows what he's talking about. Gonna need to de-rice it as well. If it does have a B16, I'd offer him 3500 no more.
