Lsvtec motor messing up

So I have a lsvtec motor in my 95 gsr. The problem im having is the When in full throttle it bogs down and spetters but when half throttle is ok. There is no check engine light at all So im wondering what could it be???? Maybe the dizzy? I dont know whats going on. I hope someone can help me fix this problem

Check and/or clean your Throttle Position sensor as a first.

No tack is good, And wouldnt it have a check engine light if there was something wrong with the tps???

No its not but would that really do all that just cause it was not tuned?? I have never had a lsvtec before. But I have had a b20vtec and it wasnt tuned for a little bit but still did not do this

But if it's untuned, that's a problem just wanting to happen with the ls/vtec setup.

Yeah but I have it in there now so I just need to get it fixed. Im really looking for a gsr longbloock so I can put in. But yeah Ill try something and see what works.

untrue LS VTEC and B20 Vtec are both very reliable. its just a few bad apples that ruined the stuff.


its bogging because of the tps or the tume. you need a dyno tune

im going to go with a tune I think, Cause if it was the tps the check engine light would come one like it did before

Like said before....it needs a tune.

Ls/V engines are reliable if they are done right. they get a bad rep for being so unreliable because people that make them take shortcuts. the same is said with a boosted engine, they can run forever without problems if they are done correctly, its when you take shortcuts that the reliability goes way down

Damn now im having lights problems like no dome lights or the little cabin lights and when I try and turn them one the open door light comes on on the gauge cluster???? WTH is going on with this car

once you clear it, the code wont come back up unless you unplug the ecu
