Real world WHP increase from reducing unsprung weight?

I've searched and never found a consistent answer, so want to know if anyone here has actually dyno tested something along this line...

I have a 91 LS (SCCA race car) with built motor that puts 146 horsies to the ground. Currently running Kosei K-1 wheels (at 13.5 lbs each) and considering asking Santa for a set of Enkei RPF-1's for Xmas (at 9.9 lbs each).

So, with a reduction of 14.4 lbs of unsprung weight (7.2 lbs of which is off the drive axles), and the car at 2600 lbs. total....what are we looking at in the real world in terms of performance gain?

You probably wouldnt be able to dyno test weight reduction, benchmark a run on whatever track you run at and then compare the seconds shaved off from your faster times with the reductions,

My friend re dyonoed his supercharged civic, going from tenzo r's to 6ul's and they weighed around 11 lbs. he gained 1hp lol.

lower unsprung weight is going to affect things like acceleration and handling. not necessarily whp.

this man is right...

to the op... find out the equation on how hp is calculated and also find out how hp is measured on the dyno
