we dont need MORE members.
I disagree. Sure there are lots of good members here now, but as I stated- people come and people go. We won't ALL be here forever. I've been on forums for years, and then just slowly started logging on.. and now I never go on. It's just a matter of time. Sell the Teg, start logging on less and less, and eventually stop all together. It will happen. Except for me, i'll be here forever. Too much money into the Integra to sell.
You guys are stuck with me until I get banned for a rule that just got made up on the spot.
This is where Team-Integra shines, and the fact that repetitive posts asking questions already answered by previous threads, or in the articles dont last long. Nor does peoples tolerance for idiots who cant use a simple search button.
I agree completely here. There does need to be more moderation in things like that- just because they're new to the site, does not mean they should get a pass because they can't use the search function. You have to admit you never see retarded posts on Team-Integra like "How do I make my LS more fast?" They monitor EVERYTHING there. Hell, you can't even post up without being helpful. I do NOT want to see ClubIntegra turn into Team-Integra, but I do agree there should be a bit of moderation on new guys posting.
Also, Alex- I posted up some "FAQ" type things in the sticky at the top of the Forced Induction thread. Whenever someone has a question that's been answered, refer them to that. Add to it as you wish- just don't post comments in that sticky. Hopefully it will help cut back on the excessive retardation of new members.
i could careless. im only posting pics of my car because i like to show-off and want peoples opinion.
i dont care if you dont like me or my car. At the end of the day im making myself happy.
/end rant
And that's the biggest issue.
YOU are a perfect example of how it
SHOULD be. People come here and post a picture of what they have done, and expect everyone on the forum to love it and compliment them- but that's not how the world works. People need to understand that not everyone will agree with them, and some will think what they have done looks like crap. When they hear "That looks like crap." they automatically jump to "You effin blah blah explicit explicit blah blah."
that policy fixed alot of problems a few years ago. This lasted until alot of og members left.
People come and go all the time. I think there's no reason to hang up on a few "OG members" going away. Or ANY member leaving for that matter. People that are "OG's" to Dyan, are probably not even known to the new guys. People like Dylan, will probably be considered OG to a lot of the new guys. OG's come and go, for all different reasons. If they can't handle the way a forum is operated or how things are- they can leave. I think making a thread about "I'm leaving because of blah blah blah." is a really immature way to handle it- as you recently saw with whatever his name was.
I don't think rep is the problem, and personally rep doesn't mean as much to me. It certainly lets people know who's liked and disliked though. People do not get -100 rep for being popular and giving the correct answers everywhere- they obviously did something to piss somebody off. If they were giving good information all the time they would get their rep back rather quickly.
I think the biggest thing that needs to be done is that a set of rules needs to be written, and that set needs to be inforced regularly. You can't just say "Hey stop that." then let it go for weeks, and then out of no where, with no warning, start slapping bans down. If anything "Hey stop that, THIS is your warning."
I think i've ranted enough for now.
