Is it worth putting this on your car, Because ive been debating lately should I turbo my engine or just get basic bolt ons and call it a day. But my problem is I only have 1500 to work with, But I only have like 90k on my engine so yeah. Input is appreciated I currently DD this if that matters.

1500 will hardly get you a decent turbo setup. Your best bet will be I/H/E. If you turbo, youll need a kit which the cheapest ebay ktis are like 1000, plus a tune, which is a couple hundred easily. Plus labor if you don't know how to do it.

Yeah Ill just stick with basic bolt ons, what is a good header for a da that would give you the best bang for your buck ? Also what is a nice intake ?

well nixon it all depends what you want cause its your car so do you want a sri or a cai does it rain alot where you live or no if not then i would lean toward the cai denser air more power

i would say any US based exhaust company, a DC header and a AEM exhaust will be a good thing for your budget, typically a Japanese based company will charge 1000 for an exhaust while a us one will go for 500 and a header will go for about 400 which leaves you with money for an intake and some suspension goodies or backup for something if it breaks

Lol, interesting choice. Turbo or I/H/E. Never quite see it worded like that. Mitch is right though, throw a couple more thousand onto that to really be in the right range for a turbo setup.

However-
Like Dylan said, DC Header, go find a catback you like the sound of.. a nice CAI or SRI too.

for 1500 you can get a nice IHE setup. I would highly suggesting researching the different brands and look for reviews. or even just browse the CI store and look at different parts, then see what people have posted about them.

Miss my car!!!!
If you really want to save money on an intake you could also do a DIY icebox. Do a search there are a few write ups about them. And if I'm not mistaken one actually did a comparison dyno against his DIY icebox and an aem cai. Plus that route gives you a little extra cash for suspension components.

Well thanks for all the help guys, I already have a thermal research full exhaust sounds really nice. Just missing intake and im header also already lowerd on sk2 coilovers and i have a camber kit and all that. Just need some more supporting mods for my engine also I want a wire tuck but how much should I pay for it and what are the advantages and disadvantages to having them ? And if I was looking for a little more horsepower after the bolt ons, how hard would it be to obtain around 160whp on one of these da's if the engine is healthy sorry for all the questions but have so much in my head.

an intake manifold is too big for a stock b18b
you can cam it out but its super hard and not worth it a few members tried but failed. Wire tucks are cool except you have to make sure they are done right if not you are fucked

True on all points.

If you're running the 3" Thermal exhaust, I'd sell it and find something 2.36" or 2.5" at most. An N/A LS doesn't pump enough air out to need a 3" exhaust.

If you want to make power with that LS it's going to cost you money. Either a lot of cash to go N/A and not make too much power, or boost it. Hell. If I were you I'd boost it, you probably already have the necessary 3" exhaust.

Didn't know making power would be so hard, and the only thing im worrying about when it comes to boost is. The reliability of the engine I don't want to be taking my car to the shop every two weeks and stuff know what I mean ? So pretty much if I want power swap or turbo is what you guys are saying correct ? And I was going to pay a local shop to do the tuck but they are charging 600$ : / and also just a header is the only thing I can add for horsepower ? Kind of a disappointment But I still love the car.

There are no easy gains for horsepower. Like Dylan said, you can try cams.. but I wouldn't have high hopes.

As for the turbo, again.. like Dylan said, build it right, then treat it right, and it will treat you right.

Pick up a used header and exhaust in good shape and get a nitrous kit with the left over money.
