98-01 ITR Cluster into 94 LS. Issue

So before I get flammed, I searched and searched and searched trying to find out the fix for it and nothing working. I was told the cluster I have is from 98-01 because it had black gauge faces instead of grey. I plugged/played it into my car first, everything was fine minus the gas gauge. So I read to change the green films on the back. So I did. While I was at it I changed out the small section with various lighted pictures (oil pressure/srs/maint req, etc...). Now I pieced it all back together with the green film from my 94 LS cluster. Gas gauge STILL isnt working. Does anyone know what to do now?

you arent going to have a working gas gauge either way :what:
use the green piece off of an OBD2 cluster theres a purple thing on the back idk what it does but i think it does something with the signals

All you needed to do is swap the green film over, Try replacing bulbs back(take out ones you replaced) and might work..also you sure you put in green film in correctly?

Yep 100% sure I swapped the green backings correctly. All other gauges and signals worked correctly, except the gas gauge... I guess I can swap the LS one in and see if it works. If it does, I can pry off the needles, fill the gas all the way and place the needle back on on full and see if that works?

EDIT: I didnt change any bulbs. All still amber ones

Swap the film from your og cluster in car, sry read it wrong about the bulbs. I had a itr custer in my 94ls, everything worked but gas like yours,swapped green film and worked beatiful after that. Check numbers on green film too,should be diffrent.
