sorry to say but most people here don't rock 17s lol i think you should sell them and get 15s and some falken ZE-912 tires (about $100 each ) :thumbs up

In 205/40/17, those are a whopping $78 a piece. If you don't drive like an idiot, they're great in the snow and have amazing grip on dry pavement.

I've rocked both 15s and 17s, and i like the stiffer ride of the 17s better.

i work at a tire shop, and iv seen a ton of stupid s*** happen with 40 series and below, dented rims, side scrub, bent lips ect. i would never shoot below 45 in the height series. as for the width, the wider the more grip, so id go 215..

Personal opinion, 17 are more of a hassle all around, bad ballance, expensive tires, heavier, stiff, ugly....

but i'd go with 215/45R17 if i had them. TOYO BGF MICHELIN, dont do hercules, hankook, sumitomo, ect ect... all we see are tire defects and quick rubber wear with those....
(specifically the toyo proxes 4)
As for speed rating, the lower your speed rating the longer they'll last... so if you do a ZR17 or rating Z tire, they will wear horrible, especially if your alignments out. (17's make your alignment go out quicker than a smaller rim size would.)

Hope i helped you in your decision bud, GOOD LUCK :D

Werd,Toyo's suck, I've tried them 3 times now first the T1R then the FZ4 and then the Proxxes 4 and have not liked any of them. I would go back to the Potenza RE50A if they didn't cost me 240 a tire so for now I'm gonna stick with the RE760. I've never tried any of the Korean/Chinese brands and I never plan to.

too all the idiots that says 17s are crap, go hit a tree. just cause you failed doesn't mean other people will.

if you're tight on money... IMO falken ziex, its the bst bang for the buck. not the best tires, but they last.. you pretty much have to get 205/40 if you dont want to look like a 4x4. 45 is ideal but the tires are too fat, you'll probably need to have your rear fenders rolled.

I have 17"s and I run a 205/40/17 since I'm lowered and I rub a little bit in the rear. A 40 series sidewall is a bit of a bitch, but if you're paying enough attention, it's not too bad.
I have Toyo Proxes 4 and I really enjoy them; I may go with Azenis next time

i see the same sht aswell, i work at discount tire.
90% of the time its because ppl think they can just drive on them like they are normal tires, then they bitch and moan on how its the tires fault they got impact separations or cracked/bent wheels. specially when they run them in the winter, with the pot holes it happens alot more
i run 30 series on my 24s(yes 24s, on a 4wd Jimmy IDGAF!) and never had a bent/cracked wheel, nor an impact separations....IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE DRIVER

too all the idiots that says 17s are crap, go hit a tree.
hahahaha thats epic

OP kumho's are prob gonna be your best bet, IMO if money wasnt an issue id go with BFG's then continental( the dws)
