Anybody have any comments or experiences with the "pacesetter" brand of exhaust manifolds and exhaust systems? I've herd mixed reviews about their stuff on other cars and I wanna if anyone has had any of their products?

I've never heard of it, but I think there is an exhaust review thread somewhere here. Run a search for it and you might find it.

They're ok if you just need something to replace the stock unit that rusted off so you can pass inspection. For performance, spend some more money and get something higher quality.

Ok I know this is gunna make me sound stupid af but doesn't it really matter to spend the extra 200 for a brand name preformance part just for the exaust set up?

the exaust is set up for one thing which is to dispose of the air that has been pushed through the motor and what not correct?

so what difference does it make if I would buy a generic exaust sytem as aposed to a Skunk 2 set up, both setups have bigger pipes for larger amount of airflow but arn't they basically the same thing with a different name and manifactured different? I mean how can you really tell you get more preformance and whatnot by your exaust set up (of course anything other than stock is better I'm comparing nam brands to non name brand aftermarket exaust setups)

I've heard of a lot of rusting issues with pacesetter. No personal experience, nor will I ever have any. Just maybe something to research before you buy,

The difference is quality materials and R&D. You can slap some generic tubes on and it will work, but you can try a few things and gain some power. You are paying more because they had to take the time to learn how to do it right. Stainless FTW

Things like pipes will only really be the quality of the welds in my opinion. Mufflers and what not have different designs.

I did buy a Megan header when I didn't care about the price and bought cheaper parts. It just sat against my oil pan. So seeing that I installed it with the dad.... He pulled the old school shit and dented the oil pan to clear the header. That thing only stayed on for a few months, went back to stock manifold and a Moroso oil pan. I keep it on my wall to remind me to buy the good shit once.

Nah, he's a full blown chalky. He might be a little redneck, hopefully he's grown out of that. On a turbo install I'd expect some cutting and such, but not a header.

You spend the money to get quality and longevity, they all do the same shit, just some do it more efficiently than others and last longer, just make sure to wrap it, it's all about reducing under hood temps, since you can't use the oe heat shield it's important to contain the heat in the manifold, it'll pre heat the cat better and provide cleaner burn of ex gases
