Unfortunately, the shop doesn't have flood insurance. My insurance covered it though and as far as I know they're not going to total it. I haven't talked to them yet really, but my ECU is good, no water in the oil, engine started right up today and ran just fine. It's just interior damage so HOPEFULLY they give me enough to fix the rest of my car up since I'll be doing the interior cleaning myself. :-D

You never know. They totaled my car because my fender got hit.
I got 5k out of it though at 208k. FTW.
I bought the car back for $500 and fixed it with like $60

Shut up baby, I know it!
ideally your gonna wanna strip that interior down to to the bone to get that smell out, i did it with mine and it wasnt even from water damage, it was just cus of the previous owner, i replaced the carpet and all and steam cleaned it with woolite etc.

So I fixed my inner tie rods, 2 wheel hubs, added lowering springs and then that night the weather flooded my car and the whole shop where I was working on it. It's like I take one step forward, then 2 steps back. I literally cried for a few hours. FML. But here are pictures before I start the cleanup.
Wow, I just went through this thread and almost think I would have cried as well :'(

This photo should be made into an epic fail poster, lol...

x2 or 3 or wherever we're at to pulling the interior. It is impossible to get it perfectly dry and cleaned and the seats and carpet need to pulled and the carpets vacuumed on both sides and then baked in the sun or something. Underneath the carpets will then need to be dried. That is worse than just rain water, its flood water, and will stink.
