switch by hood latch in car???

hey ive got a 93 integra and i was about to pop my hood and when i reached down for the latch to pop it i touched a switch right next to it. its right next to the hood popping thing inside the car. was wondering if anyon know what that is? thanks

could be an ignition kill for an aftermarket alarm

It could be a kill switch but my initial thought was a valet switch. Trace the wiring.

I know for a fact that it is the killswitch for an alarm, i learned the hard way by installing a new starter when i didnt need one, if your battery dies for any reason it can cause it to be triggered and give you the exact symptoms of a bad starter always check this switch if you car isnt starting
