So, had a leaky cam seal. Made a sick ass billet one today at work. come home, replace it.. THEN.......
The bolt closest to the cam seal, has no fuckin pressure on it, i was just getting it barely snugged down. and BAM! Snaps off in my fuckin head just where i cant get it........SO ANGRY. and i also need to replace my brake pads and rotors asap......So no damn money, have a b17 head so im thinking about just doing ls/v....but again, no damn money. HORRIBLE timing. Had to vent a little......

Use an extractor and get that bitch out! Then order a new bolt.

Save the B17's, fuck the whales...

i tried all that s*** already lol. it aint comin for some damn reason. lol.
and sadly it aint a b17. previous owner put a rod through that block (bastard) its just an LS, but i rebuilt it myself recently, doesnt even have 1000 miles on it yet, since break in. I got my b17 head though....that brings me back to the cash part. fml hahaha

Keep trying, it will come out. my guess is you just need to take a break from it. Here are some ideas

-Broken bolt extractors (the drill type).
-If you have a welder, weld a bolt to the broken bolt then back it out.
-You can drill it out then re-tap the hole.
-Use a small drill (or dremel depending on location) and create a deep slot groove, then jam a screw driver in the hole and try backing it out.

Really if all else fails just drill it all out and re-tap it. Another method ive seen work is to up drill sizes till your very close to the outer diameter of the bolt (but not in the threads of the head). Then apply copious amounts of heat and use a screw driver to literally break the outer shell of the bolt off leaving behind the original threads. Now this method is a real son-of-a-b****, so do everything else first.

Yeah, a break may help. Already tried drilling and tapping...Broke a tap lol....Then it got dark (garage has someone elses teg in it) So tomorrow i will mess with it, and hopefully i will at least get it to hold up until i can afford to do my ls/v. The messed up part is, its my DD... So if i cant get it in good enough shape to drive, idk wtf ill be able to do. lol. I was going to try to weld a bolt to it but it was just barely too short to do that without making a bigger mess of things..
Wow, yeah that does sound like a bitch hahah. Thanks for the input..+rep.

Honestly you more than likely just need a brake and more light. Half the time with things like this id just get frustrated and wont be able to anything but break more things after a certain point. A good break and things seem to work out.

And yea that last method is a monster. The only reason I ever did it was because I was able to get a perfectly straight hole with a mill and then get really close to the outer threads. It comes out nicely though once you break the first piece.

Lol, naw she just needs to get all the damn parts so i can put her motor together, drop it in, get car gone, get a little cash. lol.

Yeah, we'll see what tomorrow brings. Lol, wish me luck guys! Oh your the same way as me when it comes to that haha.
A mill would def make it easier. I mean I do work at a cnc machine shop, but if i have to end up pulling the head i may as well just pull out the whole motor and go ls/v.
