Inherited 91 Integra

My Great Grandfather just croaked and willed me his 91 Integra. He wasn't actually my Great Grandfather, he was my Grandfather but since he was a great man I always called him my Great Grandfather. The car has 50,000 miles so I figure it's about due for major work. I think I'll put a turbo on it. Does it need a hood scoop? My Grandpa was going to sell it for scrap & told me he reccommended that I do the same. I think I 'd like to turn it into a racing car if I can. If that doesn't work out then I'll probably scrap it in his honor but I'm wondering if they make a turbo or a blower for it. Or maybe I can put a small V-8 in it, it's very gutless right now. My Pinto seems to be a little faster which doesn't seem right.

....... Well first off, a 91 teg with 50k miles is ridiculously sweet, impossible to find things that low on mileage. Probably needs some maintinence. Don't be a ricer, no hood scoops, no blowers (what are we muscle cars?) turbo kits are all over the place. Take a look at the forced induction threads, research a bit.... wait..... A LOT before you do something less than brilliant, and keep the V8's in muscle cars :thumbs up

I feel that you saying "croaked" seems a tad disrespectful. Maybe passed away would be a better term. Put a rocket in it. Way easier than a turbo. I've done it multiple times.

do a tune up first,50000 miles is very good for the year of the car.If you don't want it sell it you could get 1000-2000 for it.also do your research there is a number of things that you could do to it.Just no hood scoops :thumbs up

My respects to your Grandfather! and your family.... I was really offended that you would say "croaked", if you really respected him you will edit your previous post and change that word. Good luck with your 91 bro :)
