High Idle issue

I have a weird high idle problem and I'm trying to figure out what it could be

when I first start the car it idles about 2000 rpm but usually it would just idle when I first turned the car on
and go back to idleing around 1000 like it should, but now it idles around 2300 and it doesn't wanna drop, I drove to work and it was still idle at 2300, usually happens when I get off the free way too if I drive for a long time, I feel it has something to do with the throttle body or something involving the throttle body, anything I could check?

I idle at 2000...but I have a b18c with cams, cam gears, full bolt ons, and a throttle body with a bad spring on it...im thinkin its the spring...

Try cleaning your IACV, theres a wrrite up search it I did it and it helped alot with the high idle. try some seafoam after you do this in the gas tank.

yeah i've seen the write up to clean the IACV and the FITV I think, ima go ahead and check these things out, i'm sure this is one of the reasons cause alot of people's idle probelms seem to go away after they clean up these parts, I'll let you guys know

ok finally tried to take a look at the FITV and screwed it a little bit cause it was a little loose but now my idle is bouncing..
it stays a little lower than it used to before, (it was idling at 2000, now its about 1500) but now its bouncing...any ideas? should I just take my whole intake manifold off and take the FITV out completely and clean everything?

I took out my FITV about a week ago, cleaned it, and now my idle is boucing as well. I think my mistake was that I did not turn it back in to exactly where it was which means ill probably be pulling it out again and turning it in a little more. Also, reset your ECU as you changed it some. I pulled the 7.5a Backup fuse under the hood, 10 sec, put it back in and this did help some. My guess is that you did not turn it in far enough in the FITV.

Mmm yeah could be, this is strange tho cause when i was leaving work it wasn't bouncing at all, it was running fine, i swear my car runs different every time I drive it

Did you reset the ECU like I said you should? It needs to relearn from its baseline numbers, its a better way in my opinion and experience.
