If a transmission is geared to be at 70mph at 4000 RPM's, it doesnt matter whether you have 4 cylinders or 8, they are still both going at 4000 RPM's.But for the fuel consumption part of things.. My brother said that I wasnt even going 70 and it was at 3k rpm, But I explained to him that its only 4 cylinders, so they got to move faster to get the same rate going unlike a V8, where you got double the pistons, so as an example, we'll just say at the same pace, 8 pistons will move half as fast as 4 pistons at 70 mph.. But 4 pistons getting squirted with gas > 8 cylinders :lol:
