You can run a stock cast iron intake and get the same flow as a "performance" intake (ive done it) but sadly this is a Chevy so my opinion doesnt much matter being a Mopar guy. but i will ask is it single plane? or dual? whats the rise on it? how much does it weigh? are you running a spacer? what CFM is the carb? and are you any good at hands on precision work? because if you are you can mill out the center of a dual or stock intake, spend less money, and make just as much (if not more HP). By milling or cutting the center divider out of the intake plain the air creates as solid vaccum which will "suck" the gas to which chamber it is needed. (same as a single plain Intake would do but for a lot less money. just some of your own time to do it)
