oh damn!
i was thinking 255s lol,You'll be able to fit 245s no problem.
R compound?i was thinking 255s lol,
btw whats that tire compound you told me to get for the track?
255's would nice if you can make them fit. Wonder if they'll fit with the J's fenders without pulling them. And get street tires. 180 treadwear or higher.i was thinking 255s lol,

Yes, the higher the number, the longer the tire will last. 140 treadwear street tires will wear out faster than 180 and are also stickier. For street class, 180 treadwear is the limit. 140 will bump you up to the limited class.haha 255s is too extreme.. realistically i was thinking 215s for the rear and 235/245 for the front. i'm a nub at the track, trying to get it done right the first time.
and yea that 180 treadwear, wouldn't a higher number mean less traction?
RT-615K are great for street use. However, when used on the track they will not stack up against other tires with lower treadwear ratings like the Hankook Ventus RS-3 (140 treadwear) and Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 (180 treadwear).WHAT!!! I daily my RT-615k everyday now for about 4 months now. Tread wear is 200. i love good traction at all times...

It depends on the size. 17s will be around $200 for sure. I'm glad I have a tire guy. :mrgreen:true that. But RE-11 run over $200 a pop. pretty expensive, i am still waiting for a sale.
