well buddy they are wrong thats your problem a non vtec ecu is waaaayyyyy different so you needa get a new ecu...just curious why would u put a b1 motor in the car when it was already vtec? not trying to bash you just curious

What wiring are you using? Its confusing if you are using OBD1 wiring and OBD1 Vtec ECU on a OBD2 engine. It doesnt make much sense does it?

get an obd1 conversion harness that switches it to an obd2 harness and get a non vtec ecu your problems will be solved!

ok guys so what i did is use my engine which is and b18 ls so the harness on the engine just plug and play with those on the
shell the only one that not match is the vtec plug of curse cuz that engine dont have one
and i got a gsr obd1 ecu so i can power my engine because i dont want to deal with the jumper harness obd1 to obd2 and also
run the secondary o2 sensor

haha that doesnt matter bro you HAVE to do it that ecu is setup differently than a non vtec ecu save some trouble and get a new ecu already! and so you wont have to get a new harness get an ECU that matches your OBD2 Motor!
