possible over heating an amplifier under the seat?

Under the seat can be okay depending on the size and load the amp provides. Best best is on the back of rear seat like shown in pics posted so far.
all I know that its dual channel and its 1000watts. it has 2 gauges on it that says "VU Meter"

two things about ground. Make it the same gauge as the positive from battery and sand down where you will ground it to. I ran mine under my rear carpet to the strut tower and it was 18". No problemo.
gotcha, imma pick up a longer one than..I want to look for a 10" sub but i dont know how much to expect to pay..dont wanna get ripped off

Well if you're looking at jls be expecting ranges from $100 to $800 used. Are you wanting quality for just a little bass or do you want the neighborhood to hear you?

I'm just looking for a good quality sound at around 25%-50% volume, I never really blast music, to be honest" I hate when people play music for the world to hear. up to $800? that's an engine swap where I come from haha that's alot just for tunes. the most ill spend is $200.

CAHLEAN!
Length of the ground wire isnt a big deal, unless its like 6 feet long. But please please please do not mount your amp to th e sub box! If you have no choice (like in my friends wrangler) then you can, but you run a high risk of shaking apart the small fragile wires in the amp. Iv seen it happen and i wouldnt want that for someone who just bought a system.

This^ Same size if not bigger. Just as long as you dont make it something stupid long, you should be okay.
