something I didn't think about with my ticket

So today looking at my nice fat speeding ticket i realized that he was a pinellas county cop that followed me into hillsbrough county with no lights on or anything and then pulled me over and we talking at least 2 o 3 miles into hillsbrough i wonder if i can get out of this ticket because of that does anybody know?

A cop that is out of district cannot pull you over. But i think you might be a little stuck because he saw you in district not like he started following you out of district. idk lol. You will have to see with he judge.

Request a trail. You have nothing really to lose and everything to gain. Depending on the ticket the cop might not show up. If he doesn't then all charges will get dropped. How much was the ticket for?

doesn't have an amount i was going 30 over its a mandatory court appearance

Your f*cked. The cop is going to show up to that no matter what. I had a ticket a few months ago. 73 in a 40 and it carried a big fine. I'm assuming that he got you speeding in his county? I doubt that it matters which county you get pulled over in. (it would be different if he was in hillsbrough county and pulled you over). Just go to court dress sharp (I'm talking dress pants, button up shirt, tie, dress shoes fresh hair cut) and plead your case. Appearance does matter, jeans and a polo won't work for court. I told the judge straight up that I just got my teg on the road a week before the ticket and I was just acting stupid. I couldn't afford to have my license suspended or have my insurance rates go up because I am a full time student and need to drive. All pts were dropped and the fine was dropped to about $200. Say it how it is, don't B.S the judge or claim your the victim. Man up and he probably will accept it. Ask for driving improvement. What was the reason for speeding?

just having a wide open highway at 2 in the morning and there was nobody in front of me and ive been to court before i cant take driving improvement again so i know that's definitely going to hurt me in terms of fines did they say how much your fine was before it was dropped down to 200?

In a school zone. Where you polite to the cop? This goes a long way, if you give him respect he'll return the favor most likely. Mine did and asked to have my fines reduced. How long ago was your ticket? (If it's been years thats better than 3 months ago). Was your prior for speeding or some B.S moving violation?

never had a prior for speeding ive had a B.S. moving and a couple for loud exhaust but that's about it

If my insurance rates go up, I won't be able to pay to insure my car and it will make it very difficult to go to work. (and class if you go to college. That will give you some major points). Print off your driving record if it has been a while since your priors and only if they have cleared. It will come in a sealed envelope and explain to the judge that you have no points (hopefully) and you would like to keep it that way. Besides that your on your own.

yeah well unfortunately all my priors have been in the last year so im just going to go in there explain myself and hope for the best 290 and 5 points would be the best because i was expecting a lot worse

Well just remember to say "Sir" a lot. "Yes sir." "No Sir." ect ect.
Your not going to get off because it was in a different area. Hell for all I know he probably has jurisdiction where he pulled you over. The cops in my city have jurisdiction in the two other cities next to me.

thanks alot man i would rep you but it wont let me lol court on the 28th so ill definitely be posting what happens worse case for me would be a suspended license
