DIY: Scratch Removal (Wet Sanding)

Keep It Clean
My car has old and new scratches so today i decided to sand some of the the light scratches out, and snap pics in the process. Ill try and guide those who have thought about doing this. Its not hard to do as longest you start on super light scratches and you're gentle.

Things youll need:
Spray bottle filled with water
Bucket of water
1000 or 1500 or 2000 grit sand paper..i used 1000.
Rubbing compound of your choice
Polishing compound of your choice
ScratchX (optional)
Wax

This is the damage..new scratch from a hater.

Sand paper

Let the paper soak

Start lightly, let the paper do the work, no elbow grease needed.

Youll see the scratch fade away. Keep an eye on the scratch. Wipe away and check if the scratch is gone.
It should look like this:

Next rub the rubbing compound in one direction, add pressure, let dry, wipe off.

Use polishing compound next. Go againts the last pattern

It should look like this:

After the whole process using ScratchX and a wax to protect it, it should look like this..

Before doing this, make sure your car has a clear coat, im Not sure if you can do this on single stage paint.

Club Integra nor I are responsible for any damages of your property. If done correctly, results are amazing.

I vouch for this. Works great if you know what you are doing. If you have a good quality polishing compound a rubbing compound isn't needed.

Nice work.
