Yeah it is true that no matter where you live your car or wheels can be stolen. My daughter moved to a nice rural community in Indiana, had her Integra parked on the drive. When she woke up to go to work her car was on blocks and they had stolen her wheels.
I guess it could have been the whole car. She never found out who did it, but she suspected a guy in the neighborhood who was always doing things to his car. Could never prove it though.
I bought her car recently and am always concerned where I park it.
