well like the title says i was caught on the freeway doing 91 in a 60 and in FL this is a mandatory court appearance. Lets try not to say i belong in jail or i deserve to get my license suspended. I totally agree because i was being stupid i just want to know what the judge can do for a first time speeding offense like this.

Anything he wants. Most likely, fat ass ticket, possibly suspend or restrict your license, if he's in a bad mood that day, up to 90days in a cell. Some states that's a felony.

If you have no prior traffic tickets r offenses at all, ask for PBJ. Probation before jury may allow him to reduce the points etc for you, but it depends. Over here you won't lose your license at that speed but will be one forgotten turn signal away from it

there is never a jury for speeding tickets. period. idk about florida, but here, its over 100 and they take your car or something like that.... but i got pulled over for doing 55 in a 35 zone (bs by the way), and it was my first offense after 3 years of driving..... the only "proof" she had was a video.. no radar, no pacing... like wtf? in the video it only looked like i was speeding away, so the judge said, "hes already out of site". wouldnt cut me a break and let me do traffic school or reduce the fine ($370), even though i dont have that car anymore.... mother fuckers. good luck in any case

my friend was caught doing 90 in a 55 and continued to accelerate to 105 till he decided to pull over (I guess the second state trooper made him decide to stop trying to run lol)

He lost his license for 6 months and had to spend 3 days in jail and pay one hefty ticket

Depends on your state man. Laws are different everywhere, so idk. If you do jail time man..please don't drop the soap..

pretty sure FL doesn't do jail time for first offense the most im worried about is a suspended license

Why not fight it for the hell of it? You are already screwed but maybe you could get out on a technicality? Check out tipmra for some help. I think you learned your lesson, just helping you reduce the costs.

i dont see anyway to get out of this one besides the fact that he followed me into another county and pulled me over but he told me that it was a continuation of county and since it occurred in his county thats where i have to go to court the only way i could get off is if he didnt radio it in but i dont think he would be that stupid

Hell na u live in Tampa? Where? I lived there last year up B.B. Downs in new Tampa. Only thing I've heard from speeding offenses is fat ass tickets. Good luck bro

i really live in plant city but people seem to know where tampa is more and its close so i put that.But yea we shall see on the 28th ill probably put up a thread of what happens
