so gonna wine a bit about the work did to my car today im installing my new springs and struts and have officially had the worst time. so far i broke a bolt on one side got that fixed then put the wrong dam springs in the front of my car that were supposed to be the back ones like an idiot. then while attempting to fix that dam jack slipped and i had a jack stand kinda under the bottom trim to get ready to slide it into place and when the jack slipped my car fell on the jack stand and messed up that plastic trim on the bottom of my car that i just recently painted. so now i need a new one and it slightly dented the bottom of my door (easy fix). but none the less just shit day and last but not least cant get the bolts of my back to struts to release so i sprayed them with liquid wrench while i write this and complain anyone else wanna share some stories of there bad days make me feel better

Wow that sucks bro. Where did you jack it up? From the front or side? When jacking it up from the front always make sure your parking brake is engaged. Even placing stoppers behind the wheels can help the car from sliding like a brick or 2x4.

I pulled a transmission one time thinking it was blown and installed a newer one just to figure out that the old one was fine. I was pretty pissed off.

i destroyed my brake booster and then i reilized the master cyl was bad. Then i got another booster and it was for a 98 and i didnt want to change my lines, then i got a autozone booster, and that one sucked cause it was out of spec, then i got another booster and master cyl from the junk yard -___-

so i just broke the bolt that holds the control arm up on both sides in the back of my car im done for today i think i hate cars the havent been worked on in a long time every dam bolt is seized or rusted to hell any one no if the nut that is connected to the bolt that holds the control arm up is welded on or wat i seem to remember it being welded wen i did the suspension on my honda i cant even hammer the stud out to go buy new ones?

Well, I think I got ya beat on the crappy day scale and this will make you feel better. This just happened a few days ago. Please understand that I realize I am an idiot, I deserve what happened, and will never repeat it again. I will give you the short version :)

Was out of town for work and went to the bar at 9pm. Left at 2am. Forgot to turn lights on. Got pulled over and blew a .172. Spent the night in jail. Didn't show up at job site and the customer called work. Sent work into a panic because no one knew where I was and I was out of town so I had no one to call. I'm now awaiting an Aug. 3rd court date. That is all.

The one that the strut connects to on the LCA? Its not welded but I think everyone thats lowered their Integra breaks this lol. You could cut it, take out the whole LCA and get a nice aftermarket set. Or just cut it and then hammer it out.

i tried breaking it free it looks like its been spot welded but yea after asking around seems like the inevitable when putting on new suspension for the first time every one says im gonna get a saw zaw and cut the nut off then hammer it out like u said thanx for your input

Sorry this is old but no need to make a new thread!

So I was so excited to get my ball joints out and my axle off after like an hour and a half. So I press in my upper ball joint then I sit there for 2-3 hours trying to get my lower ball joint in, I tore the boot off twice and got it warrantied. I had my GF go get the new ones and on the third time the guy at our o'reilys asks her if she needed the upper or lower joints. She said lower so the guy looks at her and says "This is the upper one" So I had been trying to press an upper joint in the lower portion for 3 hours ...

After I give up being completely frustrated my dad comes home I tell him I got the upper one done so he goes to look at it and tells me its not in all the way. So take it out and tear the boot off it and then find out that two joints we had replaced earlier were the only 2 they had so now I have to wait till friday for new ones. But my dad was kind enough to put in the lower joint for me (We picked it up the 2nd time)

So now I'm stuck with my UCA off waiting for a joint, my axle shaft half way one and the bolt the holds that fork looking thing onto the strut busted and half way drilled through. I guess it just wasn't my day today lol
