no, but i saw that post.. the bulb that goes in from the top i think? either top or bottom, you know the one.. light just didnt want to come on.. And it was polarized, so it only works 1 way, so I tried the other way, and no luck
Hmmm, so do those LEDs you got fit that light? If so I would open them up and try that

They do, they all match, but I just.. Yeah...... It should have turned on, but it didnt
dang, I just tried to take apart the defrost and put a white 5mm led in, but its not bright enough. With my garage closed and all the lights off, I can BARLEY tell its on. Ill find out the specs on the light and post em up here. I dont know much about bulbs so maybe they just were under powered or something, idk.

So I have made about five trips to radioshack and finally got something working now!
The defrost already has a blue tinted piece behind it, so I got a 5mm blue led and a 1k ohm resistor and soldiered the ohm resistor to the led and it works awesome! The only problem is that if you look at the little brown tube, the bulb can only stick out as far as the brown tube so i have to go back tomrrow and get some wire for length and ill post up all the pics for it.

Anyone want a DIY for this little defroster bulb seeing how everyone else i have talked to said they can only find the bulb at acura?

I'd say yes, but.... well, actually since its still in the package, I could return it!
I still need to order my leds for the cluster and the climate control. Just getting this one bulb has been a PITA for the last two days.

I have spent 30 bucks on one bulb and its still not in.

Nice!!! That looks awesomme!!!! Imma have to do mine now :p
thanks man!

I spent like 20 bucks jsut gettin leds and trying them but they kept burning out.
This was my first attempt to ever solder.
The advice I would give is to make sure the red line on the resistor is facing the led and if you get the 5mm led, make sure you put it through the tube first, then solder everything from the back side because there is alot more room back there to play with because if the bulb sticks out to far then it will break when pressing in the defrost.

:thumbs up

I would match red with the car. You need four of every bulb he mentioned in the original write u. Hit up superbrightless.com.
