put gsr (1.8) cams in my b16 and made an extra 50 whp... Have you ever driven a car with 400 whp? IF you havent I would start at 300 and work your way up, and get use to how the car reacts at that much power.

B16's are better on the street with boost.. 400 on a b16 wont spin the tires as much as a b18c1 will, anyways 400whp on the street is hard cause you need pretty good tires.. shoot for 380whp
LOL. 380 isnt going to be any better.

Regardless of what power you make, the best thing to have is a good set of sticky tires, an lsd, traction bar, and motor mounts.

Ive make 400+ and hook 3rd on 205's

neo gen tires like 380whp that why... I spin 2nd at 440whp on my d16z6 with neos.. above 400 your looking at spinning tires

I personally wouldnt rap a b16 out pass 8.5k

Cmon man were FWD hondas, spinning is part of our world.

My neogens sucked, I dont know why. What PSI are you running yours at?

@ 300whp 210wtq I dead hooked 2nd gear on neo gens

@ 320whp 230tq I spun 2nd on neo gens

@ 400whp 300tq I hook 3rd on BFG KDW II

neo gens suck. imo. Gonna up the size to 225 50s now

Is there any thing better about b18c1 or c5 retainers? Im thinking about haven spings and retainers put in to just not have to worry about the head for right now.

Im looking for info on my motor b16a sir2 second gen and was wondering what it has for valve train? Would gsr train be better at all? trying to think of a cheap way to upgrade my train since i can't find itr valve train any where.

Get 2 sets of GSR springs and take the inner springs and match them with the bigger single spring side

Is there any problem running b16 fuel rail with 1000cc id injectors? Do i need the aem fuel rail or can the honda one get the job done?

Build the head, thats where all your power will come from. The bottom end just has to hang on for the ride. The best part about a b16 is if you blow it up you can get another block for 100 bucks, other then that they are worthless. Also I took a bone stock b16 to 9k often, the r/s ratio on those motors is damn near perfect so they will take the abuse of high revs. I would throw some ARP rod bolts on just to be safe but other then that id leave it stock downstairs. 350whp should not be hard to do, especially with GSR or ITR cams. The b16 cams are junk so swap those out asap.

You need to make up your mind, one thread you say you don't want to build the head, now you do. Do your self a favor and spend the money, you won't regret it.

They will still take 9k rpms stock, trust me, been there done that have the vids to prove it hahahaha. There really wont be a need for the OP to rev past 8500 most likely anyways
