Aw damnit! So the neons came, and guess what, they were broken! One of em had all the wires ripped out, and the other wouldn't even work. I called amazon and they're sending me new ones, but now I have to wait till Tuesday :/ This sucks! I'll go ahead and put down the wires under the console for now anyways though.

^That cluster looks kinda cool haha, I like the colour scheme :p

And Cole, I saw you have pictures of your climate control lights all blue, but you never did a write up! I'd like to know how to make all my climate lights bright green :(

Haha alright! I was thinking of doing what that one guy did to make his cluster lights amber, except instead of red vinyl I'd use green vinyl. What do you think?

Sure you can do that haha, can't decide if I want to be selfish or not right now... Lol, gotta say changing the lights themselves is 100 times more legit tho lol

Yeah I know it probably is, but like I said, tight budget :X
We'll see, I can probably hold off on changing climate controls for now. Save up some money and get the bulbs later.

Yeah best thing you can do in modding is just take your time getting money and parts, they're not going anywhere :thumbs up

Hell yes motherfuckersss! I successfully did my first wiring job, without breaking anything! Cigarette lighter still usable, all electrical wiring in place! My neons light up sexy green :) Now I gotta piece my car back together, and I'll have the pictures up hopefully by Sunday!

They only come on when you turn on the headlights, and even then I have a secondary switch :). I'll help others out if they want to wire it like me, but all original credit to Cole! You're the man Cole.

Awesome work! Can't wait to see how they look! Curious as to how you wired it to only come on with the headlights? But very nice work sir!

But thank ye very much, glad i could have helped! :p

Basically used the power from the cigarette lighter bulb. The bulb was dead anyways, and I don't really need my cigarette lighter to be lit up anyways. If anyone wants to do this, just open up your centre console, pull out the cig lighter and ashtray assembly. Behind it you'll see a little clip that attaches the wires (idk what its called, the plastic thing kind of like what used to be on R/C car battery packs) and pull it out. Now you can take the cig lighter wherever. Next, cut the red/black wire that connects to a bulb. That's your power. Now you'll see another bulb is connected to a black wire (this is the ashtray light, again no one ever really needs that), cut that black wire. Make sure you only cut the black wire that goes from the bulb to the cig lighter! Not the other one that originates from the cig lighter! This black wire is your ground. Hook up your neons to the respective positive and negative wires, and turn on your car. Now flip on your head lights to either the first or second position (just make sure interior lighting goes on, like cluster/climate controls) and your neons should come on too!

I'll have a better write up with some pictures that you can add to your OP, Cole. Just gotta clean up first haha.

Also, quick question. For my switch, do I NEED to solder/crimp/heatshrink the wire to the switch? Or can I just leave it like it is, and just twist it around each part of the switch (for each different wire) and put some electrical tape to insulate?
