well i have a integra gsr over a year ago i pulled the engine and trans and built the engine well a few months ago it ran and i had it tuned at auto additions. after i got it back it ran good but i had B16 cams that were in it when i got the car and i swapped those over to gsr cams and my head gasket was leaking pretty bad. i took it to my buddys shop after a few days of driving it and after 2 days of it just sitting at the shop it wouldnt start. weeks later it finally got worked on. we replaced the head gasket and put in the gsr cams and i thru on a hondata intake gasket. and it still wouldnt start. after a day or 2 he got it running. not sure what he did he told me he charged up the battery and it started. well after he let it run and got hot he noticed coolant leaking from the intake gasket so yesterday i went up there and replaced it. i drove it around for a bit and headed home. my car started over heating so i had to keep stopping to let it cool down some to make it home. after getting it home it sat for maybe 10 mins and i go to start it and i heard a popping sound and i heard air leaking and it stalled. restarted it and it ran shitty and i looked and the map sensor air line came off my manifold. if i reconnect it my idle revs up to 3000rpm and if i take it back off it drops to 2000rpm. and i also hear alot of air leaking some where under my intake manifold. looked and could not find out whats leaking but my geuss its the intake gasket i just replaced leaking. and also now my turbo is surging. when i crack the bov open alittle the turbo begins to suck instead of blow out of the inlet. go out there today to pin point the air leak and my car started but bearly ran and stalled out and now it wont start.

During this period of wasting time and money, did you ever think to take it to a reputable shop? It sounds like you didn't build it correctly.

Why are you having to replace all these gaskets, didn't you replace every gasket on the motor when you rebuilt it?

Did you tear down, Bore, deck, and hone the block?

Did you replace the water pump, timing belt?

Why did you put GSR cams on a B16 head? I would have stuck with the B16.

I paid a large amount of money for a seasoned shop to build my motor from the bottom up, took them 3 weeks to complete the project and in the end I drove out of the shop and 10K miles later, not one problem. Not one drop of fluid has leaked from the motor. That to me is worth every penny.

Is this your DD?

Swap out your engine and turbo for a stock motor.
If you need it on the daily, this car isnt a toy, its a necessity.

i had a good buddy of mine that did hi own eclipse build it. the whole bottom end is upgraded and every thing replaced and has been bored. it was done right. when i got the car its a ls body with a gsr swap and there was some shit fucked up on it. so thats why ive had a few issues after dropping the motor back in. as for the b16cam i said they were in the car when i got it thats why i installed gsr cams and also the guy tunning the car couldnt get the vtec to work when he wanted to. as far as gaskets they were all replaced at the build well my buddy gave me a hondata intake gasket so i installed and the damn thing leaked at the coolant line. so thats why i replaced the gasket again and tomorrow ill be ripping the intake off and gonna replace the gasket one more time to see if that fixes my vacuum leak problem

they had b16 cams in a gsr? I put gsr cams in my b16 in my civic hatch and with a tune I gained 50whp but maybe I was lucky but I love gsr cams . At idle you shouldnt have any boost not til you have a load on it should it make boost, so there should be a vac because if the air being pulled into the motor. Should check and clean/replace all your grounds, clean your power supply and have the battery checked... even if its new
