I know a lot of people wanting to play and they are tired of all of the BS.
They would rather pay for something reliable.
This is not the first time it's been down.

COD is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overrated in my opinion. A decent game at best.
But to each their own.
Edit: If you wanna play a good FPS zombie game, why not get Left 4 Dead

Split screen on Portal 2 has been pure awesome on my PS3. Totally brought back memories of what playing games with friends back in the day on NES, SNES, Genesis, PS1, N64, Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox, Gamecube.
Also throwing in some Marvel 2, Marvel 3, Super Street Fighter 4 and Rag Doll Kung Fu as well.
PSN being down has actually been somewhat of a blessing for me. I left my Xbox 360 at my girlfriend's house so I can play something when I'm there too, but even then I rarely ever go on Live to compete.
Splitscreen/Local multi-player forEVER.
