lowering cheaply...

Accel.speed

basically, i like fast!
Honestly the lowering on stock strut deal. IMHO i think it depends on the driver. If youre cornering all the time and 'wearing' your struts more, theyre going to blow easier... If you use your brakes often and go slow, its not like theyre being "used" a lot, so they could last for longer. But it also depends on the previous wear and tear on the struts. Bought myslef a set of s techs and look forward to seeing how they handle/compare.

Then why I have I been riding on stock with a 2.5-2.75 drop on my civic for months? Like stated above. If you try and corner hard all the time and things, you'll have a higher chance of blowing them earlier. But, if you're a responsible driver then they will last longer. Either way though you're still shortening the life of them because of the extra stress. Just go ahead and get the appropriate shocks if you can, if not just drive cautiously until you can afford them.

Months is hardly something to brag about. You're not lowered, you're almost slammed and fender tucking.
Keep it up. I'm sure youll be able to afford new struts if you didn't bother to have them replaced with a decent setup.

It's not my car, it's my dad's. He's the one who decided not to get aftermarket shocks. And no I'm not tucking really. The top of the tires in the front are pretty much level with the fender and the back had a little bit of a gap, but not very much. Months for the OP should be long enough to save up for new shocks. So, that set up would be fine for a temporary thing, like I stated.
