Some very clean cars in that thread.
I LOL'd when I saw that they don't have power locks and they have to swap that in, and no cruise.
AT ALL!

I think we take some of our USDM Tegs for granted. Especially EM1 Front ends and 98+ :)
This thread makes me love USDM Tegs.

That's the minority here. You rarely see any of this.

I've only seen two driving around in 14 months wanting to be USDM. one was a kid with acura badges on his prefacelift 94. The other was a dude around me who imported a LHD camry and pose around in it slammed with big chromies.

The other day I saw a EJ1 parked in a car yard. Very rare model over here so for kicks I went and asked the guy how much he wanted for it. It'd make a nice daily and I can keep the mileage on the teg lower. Thing was done in so called USDM style, had the amber corners, cut springs, rusted hood, no rear seats, cage and a bucket seat. I'd hit it, for the right price, dude wanted $6500 for it LOL.

plenty of fail like the below, chrome on a rubbish car, yep that's the USDM way.

my customer 94 CAMRY XLE conversion (base ; JDM TOYOTA SCEPTER sedan)
even the seatbelts ,changed to USDM.

What do you drive? I assume you're actually located in Japan lol
:)

Edit: Just saw your ROTM.
Damn dude. My condolences for the Japanese families over there.

For a happier topic. How is the car scene over there? I'm just curious due to all the emmisions and everything. Rumors that you must get rid of your car once it's "X" old, etc...

They pressure you to upgrade to keep their economy turning over. Every 24 months the transport authority wants to check your car. If you want to keep it registered you must pass. The older the car, the harder it is to pass. Every remotely worn part must be replaced. My ITR was mint if I was buying this back home however they still forced me to get all new boots and even some bushes.

Car scene? Hate to disappoint you but all you have now is lowered cars with some rims. Real mods (performance) on a street car must be engineered. If you have illegal mods you need to take em off when your car gets inspected else you can't renew the registration.

I have never seen a ITR owner here bother with a "USDM" conversion. That money could be better put into performance. If I had a USDM ITR I wouldn't JDM front it for the same reason.

They sold bug eyes here from 93 to early 95. Those owners are the ones who tend to do the USDM 98+ update since it's all OEM stuff and somewhat legal. Chopping the 95+ models here for the bug eye front is too illegal for most people since that s*** will get your car taken off the road come time for your 24 month vehicle inspection.

lol and that dude putting on USDM visors, mirrors and stickers with English on it, he probably just likes English. Lots of people like that here and thanks to them I have a job.

here is normal JDM roomvisors.
I dont like JAPANESE word on it...
so I got this USDM 98up INTEGRA roomvisors w/big mirror.

took off JDM hole cover and put USDM cruise switch.
but they dont work though...

yeah man, it's strict. it's not just for cars either, i found out the hard way when i first got here but that's OT so story for anther day.

small country with no where to hide...

on the plus side it's safe. very little crime and my ITR doesn't even have an alarm. i leave it running in a 7 eleven parking lot while i get a pack of smokes.

The US needs to bitch slap criminals. They are worried about their feelings and their rights.
The prison system is a joke.

Some prisons are better than some college campus.
