Seatbelt Warranty Issue

I just read the warranty thread for the seatbelt issue. I took my 90 integra into Acura today and the service department took a look at the car. They said the seat belt slider rail is defective. They said they were not able to source a replacement part for it. They told me if I am able to locate this part they will put it in for me for free. Well I dont know what to do? Can I say something to Acura since they are basically telling me I am shit out of luck. Do I have any other options with Acura.

Theyll put it in, but you have to pay for it? bs warranty hahah, try rockauto.com..possibly ebay. gl

Look on G2IC.com. Someone is bound to have a set for sale on there. Many people convert to the Canadian manual seatbelts.

Yeah my passenger one messed up. It just stays in the position of closed door. You can hear the motor running but you can't move the little thing.

UUUHHHH-OOOOHHHHHHH...!!!
hmm...that sounds really shady, especially since it sounds like it'd be a big safety issue. have you tried looking online and seeing if anyone else has had the same issues as you when it comes to the warranty and what exactly they cover? it might give you some more ground if you decide to file a complaint of some sort.

nothing from nowhere
call another dealer, they are not wanting to do the footwork, part of their job. yes its a safety issue, they are obligated

I'll be pulling mine out in favor of 5 point harnesses. Which side do you need?

I'm doing a full part out on a DA, I can post an ebay listing. Just tell me what you need, and I'll send it.

I need the driverside. Thanks to everybody who has offered to sell me a pair of seatbelt slider rails. But I also wanna look more into having the dealer cover the rail. I dont think I should have to pay for a rail since they say its a safety issue and that it has a lifetime warranty as long it hasnt been tampered with.

Hey All,

I recently bought a used 1992 Acura Integra. Both the driver side and passenger side moving seatbelts do not appear to be working. They stay in the closed door position. When I sit in the seat, and close the door, turn the car on, I do not hear any thing coming from the automatic seatbelts. This leads me to believe that maybe just the power to the motor is disconnected? I have already checked all fuses, even the ones under the hood, everything is good. I am in Seattle, the closest Acura Dealership is about 20 minutes away. Is there an easy way to see if the power to the motor of the seatbelts is not turned on? I plan on taking it to the dealership next week some time to see whats going on with it. Would the warranty still be in good?

Hello sir!

Well you see, the only reason I posted this in another users thread, is because the thread is based on the SAME TOPIC. Unless this specific forum is different than other forums, I am used to discussing the SAME TOPIC in SIMILIAR THREADS.

Yeah thread jacking is bad, but what do we hate more? Thread jacking? Or our forum getting flooded with the same topics over And over. If he did that I'm sure somebody would have said search before you post......lol it sure is a toss up. Hahaha
